the founder of Facebook visits Girona

In the space of a few days Girona receives visits from two of the most important names in new technologies, Mark Zuckerberg and Nikesh Arora. Nikesh Arora, one of Google's Senior Vice Presidents and the person responsible for overseeing Android, Chrome and Google Apps, and the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, chose the city of Girona to pass a few hours in, after attending the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona between 24 and 27 February. Mark Zuckerberg and his wife spent a night in the city and were seen sitting on the terrace of a bar in the historic quarter. The couple also enjoyed a meal at El Celler de Can Roca, considered to be the best restaurant in the world. The motive behind the visit by Google's senior executive was to choose the perfect spot to propose to his partner. The medieval heritage, the museums or the gastronomic attractions of Girona have a global recognition, as these visits demonstrate. The decision of both of visiting our city moving expressly from Barcelona it makes clear the increasing international interest that Girona arouse.
